Padron on Fri Apr 29 10:08:25 2016, in response to Andy's Almanac - April 29, posted by andy on Fri Apr 29 09:30:40 2016. 1956 - The IND Fulton Street Subway Line is extended over the former BMT Fulton Street Elevated from 80th Street-Hudson Street to Lefferts Boulevard, via a new intermediate station opened at Grant Avenue from the tunnel connection nearby at Euclid Avenue. "A" line service is now provided to/from Washington Heights-207th Street, and the first trains in service on each of the ceremonial and actual first passenger runs were with the R-10's.-William A.
