The irony is that those twenty minute headways are what you get in the fringes of London Underground and the various German S-Bahns. In other words, I'd kill for those headways on the LIRR or another regional railway service in North America.In BART's case, it's not impossible to run more service in the core off peak. They're just unwilling to spend the capital and operating costs to do so. |
