There's nothing wrong with your proposal except the cost.Right now there are 8 tph on the local between Canal and 36th Brooklyn, and the trains are far from packed. Under your proposal, there will be 14 to 20 tph on that stretch. And despite all those extra trains, it's tight for Astoria. Right now it gets 13 tph in the peak morning rush. You're reducing that to 12. |
