I think the problem with that is that Brighton passengers want Bway Express service which would probably be lost if the Q were sent to Astoria full time..Switching the late 2016 N with the Q in Manhattan only affects service at a single local station: 49th Street. If Brighton riders feel an inherent right not to stop at 49th street, that's absurd. On the other hand, why change the N and Q just to confuse everyone? No reason for that either. |
