The car pictured was delivered in 1974, production was from 1973 > 1976.

wiil any, a married pair or two, be saved for a museum?

If not are there any people in the railfan community down there
who could advocate for this?


I would likely guess yes. I don't have a clue what WMATA is asking for them. Trucking one of them to a location within 50 miles of Washington would likely cost around $10,000.

There are presently about a dozen that are at various security and rescue training facilities.
