Sounds like it might be a stuck release magnet somewhere in the train. with the Brake valve in full service or any position in the service range the application magnets would be applying straight air but a stuck release magnet would be trying to release the brakes so while the brakes are held on, the release magnet would be exhausting air but losing its battle with the application magnets through the entire train. Did the sound disappear when the brakes released and the train started to move? |
