About 30 years ago, when I lived in Canarsie, I rode the (L), or maybe it was still the (LL), all the way from Rockaway Pkwy. to Union Sq. I was about half asleep most of the way, and nobody bothered me. In fact, in those days, they probably could have skipped half the stations and nobody would have noticed. The train would nearly empty at Union Sq, and I would awake immediately.Bob |
