Even though no official info has come out, here's what I think how this service restoration is gonna go down.The (W) will run it's usual Astoria-Whitehall route, but on rush hours runs to Coney Island via Sea Beach. It would most likely run local under 4th Avenue. It may also run on weekends or late nights between 57th Street-Whitehall Street (since in recent months there's been an increase in late night ridership. For the cars, it would mainly get the R68's and R160's, the exact type of fleet it was before the 2010 discontinuation. I would say in the long run it would get the R179's and R211's. For the (Q) overall, I think it would get more R68/R68A's or maybe even a R46 (but I doubt this ever gonna happen). Anyways, that's just my thoughts on this. |
