I made the timetable for the Diamond Jubilee Lo-V special in 1979 and was told that the existence of the supplement timetable was merely an authorization for the train to run and that as an extra, it didn’t really have to adhere to the exact times printed. You have to keep that in mind, since, if the road is delayed for any reason, the road train must get preference and the extra has to wait. If you take a close look, you will see that the supplement schedule only contains the times for the special train and not the “normal” trains operating before during and after it which a standard supplement timetable would have. |
