This also marked the official death of the "HH" local. The shuttle had been "temporarily" shut down 2-1/2 years prior, in 1946. At this time, it had first been considered for local service between Court St and B'way-East NY, when that station opened for the "A" train. But, the BoT decided to continue with service to B'way-ENY, using the same center track setup at Ralph and Rockaway Aves. When Euclid Ave opened, two years later, the "HH" plan was off the table. |
