Tuscarora Almanac - November 28, 1948 - The Book of First Runs

The IND Fulton Street Line is extended from Broadway - East New York Avenue to Euclid Avenue. Stations are opened at Liberty Avenue, Van Siclen Avenue, Sheppard Avenue and Euclid Avenue.



Tuscarora Almanac - November 28, 1969 - The Book of Wrecks

There was a collision on the IND Grand Concourse Line when an empty ten car "CC" rolled backwards from 167 Street and crashed into another "CC" train at the161 Street Station during the PM rush. The consist of the empty train was (n) 501, 456, 393, 660, 513, 428, 354, 275, 621 and 434. The consist of the train at 161 Street was (n) 634, 568, 381, 511, 527, 504, 547, 563, 619 and 444. Cars 434 and 634 were badly damaged.
