There was only one Q unit that got the orange and blue paint scheme and it was specifically for a Queens day celebration. The cars were then transferred back to Myrtle for the rest of their service life. The reason for the colors is that they are the official NY state and NY City colors and the cars were originally painted in that scheme for the 1939 World’s Fair. |
