Tuscarora Almanac - November 26, 1904 - The Book of First Runs

The IRT West Farms Line is opened between Jackson Avenue and a temporary station at 180th Street- Bronx Park. Also opened is the two track Westchester Avenue Line (also called the Westchester Avenue Connection) which connects the 3rd Avenue El at 149th Street with the Contract I West Farms elevated line at Jackson Avenue. Since the subway is not yet complete 2nd and 3rd Avenue El trains will provide service.

Stations are opened at Jackson Avenue, Prospect Avenue, Simpson Street, Freeman Street, East 174th Street, East Tremont Avenue and a temporary station at 180th Street - Bronx Park (Boston Road).

Intervale Avenue - 163rd Street Station will open on April 30, 1910.
The temporary station at 180th Street was replaced by a permanent one on October 28, 1910.
