Those shows are all 'after me' - meaning my TV watching days while growing up. I did a see a few minutes of Astroboy, once, while flipping the channels around for another show.Probably watched it out of curiosity: 'what are these 'new' Japanimation cartoons all about?', since for some outlandish reason the theme song comes back to me*, like one of those inane AM radio pop songs or commercial jingles you can never get out of your head. *"Go, go, go, Astroboy...etc." sung by a teenage sounding female. chorus (spice girls?) I was browsing through a roommate's video disc catalog, back when the original ones were 12" in diameter like a vinyl LP, and listed as a Japanese import, in some kind of fancy embossed slipcase, were two or maybe three seasons of Astroboy....... I could only shake my head in wonder, bewilderment, disbelief, why? etc. (not meant as a put down if you were a fan of it) |
