Well, the West End Line isn't exactly the fastest ride to Coney Island. The stations are a bit close together and there is a few curves on the line. I always found the Sea Beach Line to be faster. The stations on the Sea Beach Line seem to be a little farther apart and the curves (except in the tunnels south of 59th St) are more gentle. It would be nice if the West End Line had express service but I don't think it would garner a lot of ridership. |
