There was talk of transferring some Lo-Vs to Myrtle circa 1960, but nothing ever came of it.As I have mentioned in several posts on the el, I was once told by a professional engineer that Myrtle Between Bway and Bridge Sts (railroad NORTH as I have also noted in many posts) could hold anything the NYCTS had including D types. The problem was the unique girder construction at the station entrances which would have required prohibitively expensive reconstruction to allow 10 ft wide cars on that portion of the structure. |
