And they should build the 270 loop at Secaucus as part of Gateway so that the whole system can run trains directly into NYP, and then use the busses just as local feeders to the rail system. That would also allow them to add MORE bus service within NJ that serves NJ, and doesn't go to NY.However, looking at the bus maps, I also see that there is a MASSIVE demand for commutation to NYC from Hudson county. If Gateway offers more service into Penn, that could take some of the pressure off of PATH, and PATH could serve more people in Hoboken and the surrounding areas, but the northern part of Hudson County needs better ferry service to Manhattan. |
