Posted by ntrainride on Thu Sep 10 09:53:48 2015, in response to Re: Someone remind me, what is the point of light rail again?, posted by Union Tpke on Tue Sep 8 16:27:55 2015. you're dreaming. maintaining that trestle has to be a very large expense for the t.a. it's seriously unrealistic to think that the rockaways penninsular, with its low population density and lack of any significant employment centers should get train service equivalent to basically every other subway line that travels along fully developed high density city streets. face it, the rockaways are almost "hard-wired" to exist as a quasi-resort/in-city suburb. |
