Considering that you get one moderate sized suitcase a small bag on airplaces these days, even international flights, I'm not worried about someone trying to travel with multiple people's worth of luggage.

I recognize that most of the US can't just be served by mass transit, but trips within NYC, especially to the airports, 100% can be with better mass transit and if people weren't lazy.

In an ideal world, the subway would be expanded, service would be good 24/7, same for the busses, and taxis wouldn't operate at all in NYC. But unfortunately, some people are lazy.

However, I'm not going to waste money on a taxi sitting in traffic. I'm paying my $2.75 and laughing while some idiot is sitting in traffic in a taxi paying 10x what I am and I'm hauling ass underneath or overhead of them using electric traction power.
