My coop board interviewed several elevator companies. While the main office may be in the outer boroughs many companies have an apartment in Manhattan. They have mechanics sleep there every night so they can respond to emergencies.I live in Queens so I didn't ask but I assume they also have a couple of trucks garaged near the apartment. |
