Look at the ENTIRE customer trip to Manhattan or Downtown Brooklyn, or to Manhattan via Brooklyn and see what matters to Staten Islanders:- off peak, people and politicians want 20 minute Ferry and train service as they has through the 1970's - they want the TA's inept and hostile dispatching of the R train to stop. - they want any problems with the Metrocard Vending Machine to get fixed when required for SBS, whether it be on Hylan Blvd or the bus to Brooklyn. - they already have rush hour zone express trains to speed their trains up, could have more is ridership justifies. Micro-focusing on the minutia of a few minutes saved between Tottenville and St George is not what the doctor ordered and doesn't solve any of their issues. |
