The first PCC ride I recall was on the Church Av line in Brooklyn in 1956 a few months before it was bustituted. Since my uncle lived in the Wash DC area, I rode DC Transit’s PCC quite often after that and was in DC for the last day of streetcar operation in January 1962. |
