Unfortunately CT poisoned eminent domain by abusing it in New London. But it's a very useful tool. Most of the time, the threat of it makes people sell, since they get more if they sell on their own before the eminent domain goes through. But if you get some moron who's going to fight, that's the way to do it.It's easier in the 3rd track situation, since you're not actually kicking anyone out, you're just lopping a few feet off their backyard. |
