"but they count for a huge part of the workforce and losing them means a huge blow to NYC and NY state economies"No they aren't a huge part of the NYC workforce, and as Steve Baumann pointed out, 84% of them don't come in via Penn Station. Companies would be all too happy to excess whoever cannot get to work on time and higher younger blood. They lay people off like they put out the recycling. |
