When somebody makes an appeal to the greater good, it's time to hold onto one's wallet.True. This however does have it's merits. The problem is that NJ is one of those low tax states that raided NYC for middle income jobs. If this is a regional issue, then taxes ought to be uniform throughout. Is NJ willing to raise its taxes to NYC's levels to become a "regional" player? No, NYC should lower it's taxes to make itself more competitive as a place to conduct business. I'd say NYC has stepped up its game. Its current problem is that those left behind want a piece of its action. True. |
