Most commuters ride buses and PATH anyway, not NJT.Because we've done nothing to improve commuter rail access to Manhattan in more than a century. If we'd built the Holland Tunnel and left it at that then we'd be in a comparable situation. But with the doubling of rail traffic which can be realized after building out Gateway we'll be in a position to relieve PABT and PATH once the North River tunnels are completed. |
