I get to work each day by driving next to the Norfolk Southern Reading Line for about 5 miles between Blandon & Lyons PA. Today around 6:30AM I saw a very odd consist sitting on the siding for East Penn Manufacturing at Lyons. I went back around 11AM to shoot the scene:

All 8 coaches (no cab car) had at least 1 vestibule door open, all door indication lights taped over & temporary signage indicating the handbrake location. 7270 was the only one with the high level door open & the emergency door release hatches open. There was no HEP/signal cables between any of the cars & none appeared to be damaged in any way:

NS 21M with mostly trailers bound for Chicago passed by during my short stay. It is one of the 50 or so freights that use this line each day. Would have been the cats nuts if the Central of Georgia Heritage GE was leading:

Any of you NJT guys out there know the story on this set & where they are off to? By the time I passed by at around 4:30PM they were gone.
