Not enough fire in the belly from all sides to get it done. If the locals wanted it bad enough, somehow the $$$ would have been found. Nobody ever has any money unless something is really wanted. Cynical New Yorker here, me suspects something deeper here as in Bloomburg having a hard on for someone in the area of 10th Ave. Some landlord, some businessman, someone of that ilk that pissed off Big Mike as the real reason that the station was not built.. Big Mike had a reputation of getting what he wanted.If he wanted a 10th Ave Station bad enough, it would have been built..straight answer. |
