Please note that BEFORE the building of the Brooklyn Bridge that the Fulton Street Ferry connected the Fulton Street of Manhattan with the Fulton Street of Brooklyn!

(Yes, I know there's old Fulton Landing and old Fulton Street in downtown Brooklyn - just go with the basic idea.)

The two Fulton Streets should not be confusing. It is like the Broadway of Manhattan and the Broadway of the Bronx to Riverdale on the westside - it is basically one "continuous" street separated by water.
