It wasn't unusual at that time for an F to become a D, and occasionally a QB as well.

I don't think that was a (D) or (F). There may have been some reason why those museum cars were pressed into (QB) service. All cars used on that (QB) were museum cars.

#1208, now scrapped :( was the car Mayor Fiorello LaGuardia operated to open the 6th Ave subway.
