Ideally, the IND would have built a 6 track station under Lafayette with entrances at Flatbush and Fulton.With a potential connection to the IRT Nevins station and a block long out of system transfer to the LIRR terminal, this would be a more useful location for an express station than Hoyt/Schemerhorn. However, I imagine that the BMT/4th Ave, BMT Brighton, and IRT tracks already in the area would make that impractical. |
