Posted by The Silence on Mon Jun 29 19:47:54 2015, in response to "Lafayette Ave" Station not on Lafayette Ave, posted by N6 Limited on Mon Jun 29 14:31:40 2015. would strike me more as "A station named for a major street it would have exits to were it not for an obstacle", namely, Fulton on the G which suffers from the same problem.Both are sufficiently close that the only thing stopping the two stops from touching the correct streets is the fact the two lines are diving and curving around each other and the BMT and IRT tracks. Where the stations are was simply the most customer convenient places to put them. |
