All the D type trucks had motors. The “pilot” trucks were merely those which were at the ends of the unit as opposed to the ones under the articulations. There were no trailer trucks on the steels at all. All trucks the steels had one motor each with the exception of the 4000 series trailers in the BX units which, being trailers, had no motors at all. |
