I've seen this before, and there's a lot to be said for it. However, as a professional cartographer, I must take issue with the practice of drawing straight lines between stations instead of following the actual routes. The other thing I've noticed is that for the bus lines, the symbols do not expand sufficiently to display more than 3 characters (e.g. M104).Down here in WMATA land the alinements are close with a some sections that are off by from a few feet to several hundred feet. If they used this map to define the alinements it would be accurate to within less the 10 feet. John in the sand box of Maryland's eastern shore. |
