The Presidents' Conference Committee studied that, and, to my ears they found ways to dampen braking noise. Then the PCC's developed a peculiar squeal on curves, one that railfans would imitate at clubs whenever silent movies of PCC's were shown.--- However, the TA seems to have focused on interior noise only. |
