Tuscarora Almanac - May 22, 1967 - The Book of Wrecks

There was a head - on collision on the West Side Line of the New York Central Railroad in the vicinity of West 147 Street. Eastbound freight NY-4 out of Syracuse collided with westbound freight ND-5 . The crash resulted in the death
five railroad employees and the destruction of six engines and eleven cars.

The engines on NY-4 were RS-32 2020, GP-35 2384 and U30B 2835.

The engines on ND-5 were RS-3 5305, FA 1064, FB 3333 and 3359.
