When they moved the old analog TV channels off VHF for "Digital TV" the original intention was to reserve two of the former VHF band strictly for "public service" use such as police, fire, Amtrak and other public services which needed radio for their own digital needs.Previous administration to Obama tossed those into the telco sale as well. End result? Police, Fire, etc still don't have enough channels even in the face of "terrorism." :( |
