You have reminded of a 70's trains article on EP braking where it was explained that the braking could start closer to a curve. The problem was that Murphy's Law had the EP failure light coming on before the EP braking point ….but after the P only braking point. There is even an IEEE article from the 40's or so where someone was trying to come up with a Wheatstone bridge scheme to continuously monitor the EP trainline wires.Bill |
