The bill, which also funded housing, was rejected because it violated President Obama's "spending cap" which mandates no new [spending] without equal cuts elsewhere.Because the right had always lavished money on Amtrak prior to having such restrictions... How about reducing some of the proposed $612 billion defense spending bill (which itself violates the spending cap)? |
