Well we really have no way of knowing that unless it is converted to rapid transit use.We know it because property values greatly appreciated once the High Line became inoperative and appreciated further when it became a park. Chelsea and the Meatpacking District were dumps when trains ran there and that didn't change until it became certain that nothing was ever gonna run there again. That only happened in the late 80's when the West Side Line was severed from the High Line in order to run Amtrak into NYP. |
