One of the dangers we face is not being able to field enough units in a specific theater to be successful. A simulated air battle with China over Taiwan (by a defense think tank for the Pentagon) had 28 F35s fighting 72 Chinese J10s and none of the F35s made it home despite taking out almost 50 fighters.We might be better off with a second round of 4th gen fighters to buy us time. |
