Too bad the bathroom tiles are still in place at Rector St. - I thought Rector was renovated with the original tiles prior to 9/11, and then it had to be re-done.re: 4th ave. stations - Aren't these slated to be renovated to original tiles as part of a Capital Program at some point? Broadway-Nassau was rebranded as "Fulton", the new tiles are perfect IND replicas - thanks for the info. I haven't been down there yet. 59th/Columbus, 42/8, 14/8, & 34/6 - all were redone to the detriment of the original IND design - very bad judgment by the MTA :( and 179/Hillside (the home station of my childhood) - the wall renovated with that new design? Positively awful!!! |
