That's because until very recently, they'd kept the same base map for so many years. Just about all of the streets formerly occupied by els were shown extra wide. So was Lorillard Pl. in the Bronx which, although it didn't carry an el, was a direct straight extension of 3rd Av. from about 183rd St. to Fordham Rd.Bob |
