Cuomo may not care, but the Democratic Party cares very much and even if Cuomo dislikes his own party, he could have been warned of unintended consequences for him if he ever does it again, EVEN IF it's the right thing to do (like in a Sandy situation, even if in the case of Sandy it WAS the right thing to do). Wouldn't shock me in fact if this happens again Obama is asked to intervene by the DNC and block Cuomo from shutting the underground portions of subways down because of their being vital to getting people who have to be at work there.If the GOP retains control of the House and Senate in 2016 and it appears it was mainly because of Wall Street funding Republican candidates that won what turned out to be key races they might not have otherwise, the DNC likely turns on Cuomo and heavily funds a candidate of their own to get him out of office in 2018 and uses the shutdown against him. |
