Exactly:The DNC knows all too well what the unintended consequences of what Cuomo did are. He may be the Governor, but if Cuomo wants to run for President or more importantly stay as Governor past 2018, he has to "play nice" with Democratic Party leaders who could make his life miserable. Especially if the Dems don't get control of the House and Senate back in 2016, and even more so if it turns out Wall Street funded some candidates they never would have otherwise who won because of what Cuomo did in January, they would likely turn around and heavily fund their own candidate against Cuomo. As said, the DNC learned from 2000 and '04 that seemingly relatively minor things like shutting down a subway system in a snowstorm can have major consequences if it PO's the wrong people. |
