Posted by Larry,RedbirdR33 on Thu Mar 5 08:27:43 2015 Tuscarora Almanac - March 5, 1971 - The Book of Strange and Unusual OccurrencesOn Saturday March 5, 1971 a transfer move was being made from the IND Concourse Yard to the IRT Jerome Avenue Yard via the IRT Jerome Avenue Line. R-10 3226 was on the operating end of the train as it left the Concourse Yard. The train then operated through the Bedford Park Boulevard Station scrapping the platform as it went. It was then wrong-railed to the Jerome Avenue Yard were it remained for several hours before returning the IND. I do not know at what point the crew discovered the error. Larry, RedbirdR33 |
