Apparently the plans called for the G to end at what today is Briarwood, not Union Tpke, complicating the method of relay. This method would likely have used the yard leads to relay, served Briarwood in both directions, and not required stairs to continue in the same direction. More personnel required, (Plat C/Rs, possibly SW T/Os) but easier for the users. Also no reversing/wrong railing needed. Could explain their thinking at the time, though it never came to pass. Can't comment on fare control at BVW sta. |
