Maybe, but as long as Cuomo thinks he can run for President in 2020 or '24, he likely will continue to do stuff like this.

Rule #1 of politics is you DO NOT PISS OFF WALL STREET. What Cuomo did here violated that rule and there are MANY on Wall Street right now who are EXTREMELY PO'ed at him over this. It's something Wall Street won't forget anytime soon, and I'm sure some on Wall Street are calling in favors to other elected officials and others to see what can be done to make it clear to Cuomo to never do this again outside of a Sandy/Irene situation (where Cuomo was proven right both times as Irene did directly hit NYC).

I'm sure people at the Democratic National Committee behind closed doors right now are privately warning Cuomo if his does this again, it could have the effect of hurting other Democratic candiates as the DNC is looking on winning back the House and Senate in 2016. Cuomo's actions here, and even more so if he does it again outside of a Sandy/Irene situation I think will have severely unintended consequences to where Wall Street will get behind Repunlicans way more than they would otherwise to send a message, and if I'm at the DNC, I make it clear a repeat of this and he is "persona non grata" and "dead" (at least politically) to the DNC.
