I was on 1053 for that last trip. Although officially, 766 was the last car over the system, it discharged its passengers at the corner down the block from the entrance to the Navy Yd Carhouse and operated light the rest of the way into the barn. 1053 carried its passengers right up to the front entrance of the carhouse, so by the distance of that short half a block, 1053 was actually the last car over the entire system. |
