Amtrak train would not be announced from the main concourse as now, just NJT. You'd have to head over to Moynihan to board.
Huh? Since when do they announce trains? There are status monitors all over Penn Station. You can board anywhere. And there will probably be apps for Amtrak in the future that tell you your track number so you won't even need to look at a physical status monitor in the station. So I don't know what you're smoking.
